At Solenis, we are deeply committed to upholding and promoting human, employment, and labor rights across all aspects of our operations. As proud members of the UN Global Compact, we align our practices with its principles and incorporate UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as Gender Equality and Decent Work and Economic Growth, into our Strategic Framework.
Our dedication is reflected in our internal policies, including our Global Standards of Business Conduct (Code of Conduct), our Supplier Code of Conduct, and our Human Rights Policy. These policies set the tone for all employees and business partners to comply with human rights standards.
Our Human Rights Policy is applicable across our global operations and reinforces our commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the International Labor Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, setting Solenis’ standards across our value chain.
We prioritize creating a safe and inclusive workplace through robust policies and initiatives. Our Hiring Due Diligence Protocol outlines steps to mitigate the risk of human rights violations, with assessments and audits to monitor risks related to child labor, discrimination, equal remuneration, forced labor, and human trafficking. Our Responsible Care Policy confirms our commitment to the highest health and safety standards and management, reaffirming every employee's responsibility for maintaining a safe workplace environment.
We are equally committed to maintaining a workplace free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, where our people are valued and respected, and can thrive within a multicultural, multilingual, multi-generational and multifaith workforce.
We strive for a culture where employees feel safe and empowered and prioritized in their well-being.
Responsible supply chain is a cornerstone of our business operations. We are deeply committed to upholding human rights across all our activities. To ensure this, we expect all our raw material suppliers to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct. Thanks to this, we are ensuring that our raw materials are sourced from suppliers that adhere to fair labor standards, avoid child labor, and provide safe working conditions. We also consider the impact of raw material extraction on local communities, supporting initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods and social development. This code reflects our dedication to conducting business free from the risks of slavery and human trafficking.
We also assess our direct supplier risk through our Supplier risk Assessment program. Our risk supplier risk assessment is conducted during supplier selection, onboarding new vendors and as a continuous monitoring for existing suppliers. Any potential risk of human rights violations within Solenis’ supply chain, identified though our standard supplier risk assessment is prompting a extra due diligence process. The Solenis Procurement team is working with suppliers to mitigate any potential risk.
By fostering a supply chain that respects human rights, we aim to create a positive impact on the communities we serve and maintain the highest ethical standards.
